Jump Rope Team Visits MCA
M Mesquite Christian Academy welcomes the Proform Airborne Jump Rope Team from Idaho Falls, Idaho.
This talented jump team consists of 12-14 jumpers ranging in ages 12-19. Not only are they talented jumpers, but gymnasts as well. The students and staff were inspired in watching the feats they were able to do while jumping rope, both individually and together, all to music. This team travels inside and outside of the U.S to perform and compete. They have won many competitions and are making strides on getting jumping into the Olympics as a competitive sport.
The team travels with a message of promoting a healthy lifestyle; healthy eating, exercising, and refraining from drugs, tobacco and alcohol. Our students and one teacher, participated in separate jumping exercises with the team. The students volunteered Miss Janson to jump while two jump team members turned the ropes. They all jumped well and it was especially fun for staff and students to watch them participate.
We now have many jump ropes for the school, and they are being used enthusiastically on each break and at recess by the students.
